Everest Base Camp Trekking in Nepal

Everest base camp trekking  is life time dream of may trekkers and it is very renowned destination in whole earth.  For this trek we can do lodge to lodge or camping too but many teahouses are easily available including some luxury lodges on the way so now a days people prefer sleeping in the guest houses along the way to the Everest base camp. All the guest houses have their own restaurants with verities of foods. There are many stores in Lukla and Namche to buy trekking gears and other necessary goods for trekking incase if you forget to buy in Kathmandu.

There are daily flights from Kathmandu to lukla a nearest airport from Everest base camp, Fly in fly out trip will be completed in 12-14 days. you need 21 days if you want to go by road via Jiri.

Suggested Trekking Gears: Sun hat, warm cap, sun glass, sun cream, sun glass, warm light weight water proof or quick dry clothes for different part of your body, very good hiking boots if you have boot new one please wear and walk few weeks and know about it other may give you blusters so bring second skin too, sleeping of  - 20 degree Celsius. head lamp, trekking bag, day bag, water bottle,  quick dry towel.

Nepal visa is easily available in Kathmandu airport bring 2 passport size photos and USD 40 cash for 30 days multiple entry visa.

Money: American, Canadian and Australian dollars, euro, Swiss franc and  pound  starling are easily used. ATM is easily available in Kathmandu for Everest trek better to carry local money Nepalese Rupees USD 1 = RS 92.00 (2013 June 16th - keeps changing)

Insurance: we try our best to keep you healthy and strong. There are some good hospital in Kathmandu and  along the Everest trekking route with western doctors. we highly recommend to bring your strong Travel medical insurance.

Communication: Cell phone and Internet connection is available in Many Places, might disturb in some places because of  high mountains.

Flexible Itinerary of Everest Base camp Trekking

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, our guide will welcome and take you to the hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing day in Kathmandu and preparation for trekking.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla airport, it takes 30 minutes - continue walking 3 hours and stay in Phakding.

Day 04: Hike to Namche Bazzar, the biggest market in khumbu region. Namche is door way to Everest base camp.

Day 05: Halt day in Namche village for acclimatization.

Day 06: Trek continue to Tengboche monastery hill which offers nice view of Everest and other high mountains.

Day 07: Hiking to Pheriche or Dingboche.

Day 08: Rest day at Pheriche or Dingboche. on this day better to hike around and back to the same guest house.

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche.

Day 10: Trekking to Everest base camp and overnight stay at Gorakshep.

Day 11: Early morning climb to Kalapather and trek down to Pheriche.

Day 12: Trek back to Namche bazzar.

Day 13: Walking back to Lukla.

Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 15: Explore Kathmandu and collect souvenir for your family if you wish any hand made products.

Day 16: Fare well - Drive to airport for departure flight to back home.
